Product Description

What is it made from?

Each Berkshire bookcase is built from real birch hardwood with cabinet-grade plywood where it adds strength and stability.

If you prefer another wood species—maple, red oak, white oak, cherry, or walnut—just reach out and we’ll review options and pricing together.

Will it fit my space?

Each Berkshire bookcase is built to order, with standard sizes or dimensions tailored to your space.

All bookcases are 12" deep — comfortable for books, baskets, and décor.

If you’re working with a tight spot, we’ll review your measurements together to be sure it fits just right.

What finishes can I choose?

We offer a curated range of stains and paints designed to complement both modern and traditional New England homes. Each finish is applied by hand to bring out the wood’s natural character.

And if you’re unsure where to start, we’ll walk you through samples and suggestions to help you find the right look.

How many shelves come with my bookcase?

Every Berkshire bookcase includes adjustable shelves, with the number varying based on the height of the piece.

Bookcases 60″ high and taller include one fixed shelf at the 30″ mark for added strength and stability. The remaining shelves can be adjusted to fit books, baskets, and the way your storage needs change over time.

How will my furniture arrive?

We deliver your bookcase ourselves — blanket-wrapped, fully assembled, and carried right into your home.

Our team handles deliveries across Massachusetts, parts of New York, and parts of New England with the same care we put into building your piece.

How long will it take?

Each Berkshire bookcase is built to order, so timing depends on the finish you choose.

Most finished pieces take about 10–12 weeks, and unfinished pieces are usually ready in 6–8 weeks.

Once your bookcase is complete, we’ll reach out to schedule delivery and keep you updated along the way.

When it fits, it feels right.
